Arlene E. Duggan, 76, of White Haven and formerly of New York, passed away Tuesday at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Arlene was born in Ozone Park, NY. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Railey) Maher.
Arlene graduated at the early age of 16 from John Adams High School in New York. She furthered her education by graduating with a master’s degree from Empire State College in New York and was listed on the who’s who list of alumni. She was most recently self employed as a clinical counselor in psychic services.
Arlene had a deep love for anyone in need. She was a loving and caring person who would always welcome and care for anyone who came into her life. She also enjoyed cooking baking and was a member of her church choir. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arlene was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Christine Duggan, with whom she is finally reunited with and a son-in-law, Gary Riley.
Surviving is a son, Charles Duggan. Daughters, Deirdre Bell and her husband, Doug. Carleen Riley. Grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Danielle, Christine, Douglas, Jenna and a great- grandson, Brandon.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services Inc. 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
