Jerome McCloe, Jr., or (Rome) to those who knew him, 43, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp. Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 29, 1978, he was the son of Jerome McCloe and the late Michelle Garey. Jerome graduated from G.A.R. High School. He earned an associate degree from Luzerne County Community College and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in business management from Wilkes University. He worked as a District Manager for GNC and was passionate about his job. He was a member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, where he also served on the board of trustees. Jerome enjoyed watching sports, especially the Washington Redskins, playing video games, his sneaker collection, and can’t forget his battle rapping skills were unprecedented. Jerome was a loving father who looked out for everyone, including several Godchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Garey; aunts, Jean Wright, Hope Cropp and Lois Snyder; paternal grandmother, Beverly Golden, grandfather, Jerome Johnson; step grandfather, Leroy Golden and aunt, April Walker. He is survived by his significant other of 23 years, Aisha Timmons; father, Jerome McCloe; son, Jalil R. Timmons; daughter, Jayla A. McCloe; brothers, Donald Garey, Derrick and Savion McCloe; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jerome’s homegoing service will be Saturday, September 17, at 11:00 AM from New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, 780 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the church.
