Donald Lee Clemow

Donald Lee Clemow, 82, of Trucksville, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke.

Born in Kingston on June 28, 1940, he was a son of the late Joseph D. and Doris M. (Schmoll) Clemow.

Donald was an Army Veteran and later worked for Gronchick Construction as a roofer for many years.  He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and target shooting. He loved watching Gunsmoke, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football and listening to George Jones. Donald was an excellent cook, who loved making everyone’s favorite dishes. He thoroughly enjoyed the laughter and good times he had at his sister Carole’s home during family gatherings. Recently, he was especially proud to become a great great uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joan E. Oney.

Donald is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Pope) Clemow; sister, Carole Watkins and husband, Lee; nieces, Shari Blat and husband, Ken and Jennifer Morris and husband, Adam; nephew, Tom Oney and wife, Denise; great nieces, Hailey Blat and Sara Clark and husband, Brandon; great great nephew, Emerson; his beloved dog, Sammy and neighbors, Gwen, Jim, and Debbie.

The family would like to thank Stacey and Monica and the rest of the staff at Lakewood and his neighbors for the excellent care they extended to Donald.

Arrangements were private for the family from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services.
