Thomas Rittenhouse, Jr., 70, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born on May 12, 1948, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Thomas J. Sr. and Thelma (Turcan) Rittenhouse.
Thomas graduated from Coughlin High School and worked as a dispatcher for Posten Taxi for many years. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, the Pittsburgh Steelers and W.W.E. Thomas also loved his three dogs who were always by his side.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion of over 35 years, Ernestine Williams, who passed away on September 15th, 2016. He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Dolly Oldziejewski, Maxine Concert, Laverne Rittenhouse, and a brother, Lloyd Rittenhouse.
Surviving are a son, Thomas, III and wife, Terry Rittenhouse, Ashley, a daughter, Susan and her husband, Robert Delescavage, Wilkes-Barre Township, stepchildren, James and his wife, Shani Williams, Donna and her husband, Curt Frailey, Mary and her husband, Steve Keller, Brian and his wife, Lauren Williams, numerous grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 brothers, George, Robert “Bert” and Lester Rittenhouse.
