Stella M. (Mantush) Trinisewski, 88, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Waskie) Mantush. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish

She was previously employed by B.F. Goodrich, Wilkes-Barre and later was a loving mother who raised her children.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert T. Trinisewski, Sr.; brothers Leo Mantush, Alex Mantush, Jr. George Mantush and Joe Mantush; sisters Mary McCrorey, Ann Murphy, Lottie Rutkoski, and Katherine O’Donnell.

Surviving are her sons, James Trinisewski and his wife, Liz, Macungie; Albert T. Trinisewski, Jr. and his wife Donna; daughters Carol Youells and her husband, Mike, Wilkes-Barre, with whom she resided; Diane Zelinski and her husband, Sonny, Wyoming; grandchildren, Caroline Youells, Lisa Madrigal, Eric and Stacy Zelinski, Albert Trinisewski, III and Katie Trinisewski; great-grandchildren, Kody, Shayne and Kiana Madrigal; Cole and George Beck; Sisters Peggy Capral, Edwardsville; Helen Taylor, Beaumont and Kitty Pascucci, Wilkes-Barre Twp.

Stella lived a full and happy life.  She selflessly took care of her husband through the last years of his life.  She knew love and joy.  She knew kindness and compassion.  She knew pride and strength.  She has spent her last seven years never alone living with and allowing herself to be cared for by her family.  She was affectionately called “The Great One” and “The Big Kahuna”.  All her needs were met and she didn’t have to worry about a thing.  She spent her time smiling and laughing watching the great grandchildren play from her screen porch, looking at old photos, telling stories of all the wonderful times she had and enjoying every new day spent with her family.  She was not afraid.  She smiled everyday until she couldn’t and it was then that she peacefully went to Heaven to be reunited with the love of her life so they could watch over the family they loved and created together.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.  There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, share a story, a laugh and a smile with a loved one today in remembrance of Stella.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
