Marilyn (Love) Kline

Marilyn (Love) Kline passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, February 25, 2017, at Keystone Garden Estates, Larksville.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 23, 1928, Marilyn was a daughter of the late Robert H. and Harriet (Gruver) Love.

Marilyn was a music lover, a pianist and studied at Houghton College, Houghton, New York.  With the illness of her mother, “Hattie”, Marilyn dropped out of college to care for her full time. On May 17, 1952, Marilyn married her wonderful husband, Charles J. Kline.

She was a member of Wyoming Avenue Christian Church.  Prior to retiring, she was employed as a case worker by the ARC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, who passed away on February 2, 2003; a sister, Ruth; a brother, Robert; sisters-in-law, Audrey Ricker, Alice Freas and Grace Ravert; brother-in-law, George Kline.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Lynn Kline, Edwardsville; son The Reverend Ronald John Kline, Hagerstown, MD; sister-in-law, Jane McHale, Pittston; brother-in-law Marvin and his wife, Dellamae, Mountain Top; nieces Bonnie Balzer, Silver Spring, MD and Linda Marlette and husband, Dennis, Delaware; many great nieces and nephews.

Marilyn’s family is thankful that she was blessed by all the wonderful caretakers at Keystone Garden Estates for all these years.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Reverend Dennis Gray officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Friends may call Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m.
