Lloyd J. Harris, 66, of Wilkes-Barre, was personally selected to spend his eternity with God on the morning of Saturday Oct 13, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He peacefully began that journey with his daughter, Kim, at his side. Lloyd was born in Granville, N.C., on November 28, 1951. He was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Bessie (Hunt) Harris.
Words can't really be corralled into who he really was. His life was nothing but animated. His heart was bigger than he was. Lloyd was a car mechanic by trade. He and his brothers fixed numerous vehicles over the years. Sometimes he was a man of very few words and sometimes he had his own language and told you exactly what was on his mind in his own unique way. He was Uncle Lloyd and Poppy Lloyd to so many that loved him. He was lucky to have a bestie that treated him like family and never left his side. A huge heartfelt thank you to all his friends and family that generously helped out during this very difficult time.
Lloyd was preceded in death by sisters; Ethel, Josephine and Dorothy. Brother; Lynwood.
Surviving is his daughter; Kimberly Harris and her mother, Janet. Grandchildren; Elijah and Avery. Sister; Queen. Brothers; James, Thomas and his wife, Denise and Robert and his wife, Gayiel. Numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Lloyd’s life on Friday Oct 26, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre Township Fire Hall, 150 Watson Street Wilkes-Barre from 5 to 9. A blessing service will be given by family friend, Reverend Tony Vieney , at 7 PM. Please bring your happy hearts, positive vibes and good memories with you. Food and fun will be provided but covered dishes/desserts will not be turned away. Come casual or formal but come comfortable.
