Henrietta (Behrens) Cranston

Henrietta (Behrens) Cranston, 93, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully, on May 6, 2015, at Page Rehab Center, Fort Myers, Florida.

Born on March 10, 1922, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Henry Augustus and Margaret Edel Behrens.

Henrietta and her late husband, Kenneth, lived in Wilkes-Barre for many years before retiring to Florida about 33 years ago.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre and St. John’s Lutheran Church, Winter Park, Florida.   

She was a loving wife, mother and grand mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; her loving husband, Kenneth A. Cranston, Sr., who passed away on November 9, 1994, two sisters, Katherine Murphy, Margaret Read, one brother, Otto Behrens and her grandson David Cranston , Jr.

Henrietta is survived by her two loving daughters; Harriet Shivar (Greg), Winter Springs, FL., Adair Larkin (Keith), Metairie, LA, three loving sons, Henry J. (Elizabeth)., Fort Myers, FL, Kenneth A. Jr. (Carol), Cromwell, CT, David A. (Rebecca), Mint Hill N.C., 6 grandchildren; James Larkin, Frisco, TX, Andrew Larkin, Allen, TX, Amy Bowers, Philadelphia, PA, Ian Cranston, Cromwell, CT, Annie Cranston, Washington DC and Elise Cranston, Nashville, TN, 7 great grandchildren; Margaret and John Larkin, Frisco, TX, Grace and Padraic Larkin, Allen, TX, Lucy Cranston, Cromwell, CT, Beatrix and Sylvie Bowers, Philadelphia, PA , a brother, Henry Behrens, Vero Beach, FL., several nieces and nephews.  

A Service celebrating Henrietta’s life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 11:00A.M. from the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA with Reverend Peter Kuritz officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, PA
